De magic of Marrakech

About 2 hours drive from the Moroccan coast lies the completely walled city of Marrakech, amid thousands of palm trees and with the contours of the Atlas Mountains in the background. The city was founded in 1602 and the best artisans came from Spanish Andalusia to help with the construction and decorations. There is so much to see such as magnificent palaces, interesting museums and colourful gardens. There are fantastic restaurants where you can eat in a magical Moroccan atmosphere. The surroundings offer good possibilities for excursions such as a visit to the Atlas Mountains or to the coast.

One of the most attractive hotels in Marrakech is Les Jardins de la Medina. The hotel has an excellent location within the old city walls. It offers the excellent service of a boutique hotel, but has the atmosphere of a special palace hotel. It was once owned by a princess and was built around a spacious courtyard, where now a (heated) swimming pool with sun beds is located. There is an excellent French/Moroccan restaurant with a terrace and a stylish lounge bar. All 36 rooms are beautifully decorated and have a beautiful mosaic bathroom. The hotel has a hammam and a beauty salon with massage possibilities.
