Cruising along the river Nile

Egypt is a desert country and the Nile is the natural artery that provides a striking contrast between the green oasis and the dry horizon behind. The main temples were traditionally built along the Nile and a boat trip is without question the best way to discover them. There are many ships that sail on the Nile, but there are only few that one could describe as "exclusive and intimate'. The Dahabiyyat is an exception to the rule and is a replica of a historic sailingboat which the aristocracy used at the beginning of the last century to visit the Nile treasures. Built in Colonial style with an Oriental touch but with all  modern conveniences on board. There is a covered wooden terrace with lovely comfortable furniture and a great view, where you can see the landscapes slowly pass by. There are six comfortable cabins for guests on board, with either a grand lit or twin beds, but all with their own bathroom.
The comfortable and unique eight day cruise goes from Luxor to Aswan or vice versa, and if possible uses the sails. At the end of the day the boat anchors at idyllic spots on the Nile, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and a large variety of birds. During the cruise a professional guide is available for the daily trips to famous temples and attractions. Life on board is a sequence of pleasures: excellent meals, high tea, soft drinks and lovely relaxation on the deck. On board you will probably have international company and English and French speaking guides. Best time to travel from November till late April. On request, we will design a tailormade program for you including a visit to Cairo or the Red Sea.
