Tanzania : ‘Out of Africa‘
Tanzania is, because of its huge variety of national parks and rich flora and fauna, probably East Africa at its best. The snow-capped Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, dominates its landscape. And the Serengeti National Park cannot be compared to any other wildlife park in terms of beauty and ecological value. More than three million animals (35 different species) live here in the vast savannas. During the Great Migration more than half a million wildebeest and two hundred thousand zebras start to move all together in the same direction. This spectacular annual migration attracts, besides visitors from all over the world, many predators like lions, cheetahs, hyena and jackals. A safari trip per 4x4 with private guide/driver is an experience you will never forget. A private tented camp in the Serengeti is an ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle and you will have privacy, silence and reasonable comfort. All other overnights are booked in small lodges and during your game drives the guide will introduce you to the wide variety of animals and their natural habitat.

The furnished veranda is a wonderful place from where to enjoy the spectacular sunrise and sunset. There is a common bush-shower and toilet available.
Day 5 & 6. Serengeti
Serengeti, since 1951 a National Park, measures 14,763 square kilometres and consists primarily of savannahs. The Serengeti is one of the most beautiful natural parks in the world because of its spectacular landscapes and vast horizons. The granite rock formations and location are strategic lookout posts for the lion populations.
Day 7. Serengeti - Ngorongoro
Descent into the world-famous crater for a unique game drive along forests, lakes, swamps and savannahs. There is an abundance of animals: lions, pink flamingos, rhinos, zebras, leopards, hippos, elephants. Dinner and overnight on the crater rim with spectacular views over the surrounding area.
Day 8. Ngorongoro - Arusha - Amsterdam

Day 9. Arrival Amsterdam
The perfect dessert after a safari trip is a stay at a beach resort at the Indian Ocean. Zanzibar is renowned for its beautiful sandy beaches and diving possibilities and could be a good option. Due to its strategic location it was an important trade centre in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The colourful capital Stone Town has many historic buildings and is declared a UNESCO City of World Heritage. There are lively, colourful markets and attractive streets where beautifully carved wooden doors lead to former palaces.
