Elm in Glarnerland

In the north of Switzerland you will find the idyllic town of Elm, in the relatively unknown Canton of Glarus. Due to its good access at only 90 km from Zurich airport, the wintersport resort Elm is very suitable for a long weekend in the snow. The small mountain hamlet is situated at the end of a valley and has a historic centre with wooden houses and cozy pubs. It is regarded as one of the secret places for the Swiss, who like to go there themselves for a weekend break. Elm is a small but well equipped, high-altitude winter sports area with 60 km ski slopes for alpine skiing and cross country. This is no place for the jet set, but for lovers of peace and beautiful nature. For non-skiers, there are beautiful hiking trails, a cross country trail and sledges. Our favourite hotel is Hotel Sardona

On the outskirts of the village lies the 4-star Hotel Sardona, at walking distance (about 100 m) from the ski lift. The hotel has 66 rooms, all of which are equipped with bath / shower, telephone, TV and minibar. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant. Facilities include an indoor pool, sauna and bowling. The cross country trail starts next to the hotel.
