A colourful journey through the highlights of Northern India, at a relaxed pace with enough time to also enjoy the luxury hotels. Visit the Taj Mahal and the most beautiful cities of Rajasthan and enjoy overnights in beautiful palace hotels. You will be introducted to the countryside of Rajasthan and the special Bishnoi tribe. At the end of the journey the beautiful beaches of Goa are waiting for you. In short, a wonderful private romantic trip for the adventurous tourists.

Day 1. Amsterdam – Delhi
Depart by KLM from Amsterdam to Delhi and transfer to hotel.

Day 2. Delhi : city-tour
A private tour by car with driver & guide for a visit to New and Old Delhi.

Day 3. Delhi – Agra
An early departure by train to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal, the most beautiful and romantic building in the world and the main attraction of India. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his dearly beloved wife Mumtaz.

Day 4. Agra – Ranthambore
It is best to pay an early visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise as the light is at its best and it will still be quiet. You will then travel by car with your driver to the Ranthambore National Park, one of the tiger reserves of India.

Day 5. Ranthambore National Park
Ranthambore Park gets its name from the old fort that is centrally located within the park and which has lovely backdrop. Today, two jeep safaris are on the program and with a bit of luck you will be able to spot tigers, leopards and antelopes.

Day 6. Ranthambore – Amber – Jaipur
The journey continues the Amber Fort which is located between the hills on the way to Jaipur. The elephant ride to the hilltop fort is a special experience. The trip continues through the small towns and villages of Rajasthan and late in the afternoon you will arrive in Jaipur for your overnight in the palace hotel Samode Haveli.

Day 7. Jaipur
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is known as the ‘Pink City’ because of the colour of the buildings. It is also an extremely colourful city because of the flamboyant dressed people and carts which are pulled by camels.

Day 8. Jaipur – Jodhpur
Departure for Jodhpur to visit the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, situated on top of a rocky hill. Within the gates you will find palaces with beautifully chiselled window frames and railings of red sandstone. The fort also offers a beautiful view of the old walled city. Your accommodation will be in the rural  Rohetgarh hotel just 40km from Jodhpur, which is a fabulous 17th century palace that the family has transformed into a heritage hotel.

Day 9. Jodhpur
A wonderful stay in the beautiful green countryside on the edge of a lake where you will be able to spot many kinds of birds. A visit to the Bishnoi tribes with a special introduction to their way of living in the countryside. They live among their animals and very close to nature and do not kill a single living creature. For those who wish it is possible to spend the afternoon horseback riding or otherwise relaxing in the lovely hotel garden with pool and beautiful pavilions.

Day 10. Jodhpur – Udaipur
After visiting the temples of Ranakpur the journey continues to Udaipur. Under no circumstances may you miss the temple of Adinath at Ranakpur. This is the most impressive Jain temple of India with it’s 1444 columns. You will then continue your drive to Udaipur, the most romantic city in Rajasthan for your overnight at the Udai Kothi Hotel.

Day 11. Udaipur
Udaipur is considered the most romantic city in India and is actually a cool oasis in the desert of Rajasthan. The blue lake is surrounded by green hills and the white palaces glittering in the sunlight. The centre of Udaipur has many shopping streets and is dominated by the Jagdish Temple. At sunset, you will take a cruise on the lake, from which you will see the magnificent palaces on the banks and which turn to a reddish orange as the sun is setting.

Day 12.
Udaipur – Bombay – Goa
Flight from Udaipur via Bombay to Goa, for a stay in a lovely beach hotel.

Day 13 & 14. Goa
Goa was once a Portuguese colony and this is still evident in the attractive architecture of the historic houses and the Mediterranean atmosphere. The beaches of Goa are kilometres long and are still unspoiled. There are many luxury hotels, but also lovely guesthouses, which lie hidden among the palm trees.

Day 15. Goa – Bombay – Amsterdam
Flight from Goa to Bombay and then depart by KLM / Northwest to Amsterdam.

The overnights can optionally be booked in middle class hotels, luxury hotels and palace hotels.
